How can this be?
Induction lights create light by using an electromagnetic field to excite mercury particles mixed in an inert gas. The mercury creates a UV light and a phosphor on the inside of the bulb filters the energy into visible light. This is technically a fluorescent light, but has a few key features that make it much more than just another fluorescent. Induction lighting does not use electrodes in the bulb to excite the gas.
