This small hardware piece is easy to install onto the rail and enables the ability to run the crossbars parallel with the Light Rail system rather than perpendicular.

Light Rail 5.0 Crossbar Mounting Kit
Provides an optional inline configuration by allowing the crossbar to be positioned inline with the Rail. With this small hardware part, the crossbar can be turned 90 degrees so will run in the same direction as the Rail. This is instead of having the crossbar’s wingspan coming away from the Rail in the typical perpendicular crossbar configuration.
